ADG Architects grows through merger and recruitment

ADG Architects has merged with another local Architectural Practice, taken on a very experienced Architect as an Associate, and expanded its support and administrative resources.

Established more than 30 years ago, Darlington-based ADG Architects Limited has merged with Newton Aycliffe-based Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd. Jeff Blackwell, Principal of Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd, becomes a Partner of ADG Architects and will work closely with Partners John Bell and Paul Kelly.

At the same time, Architect Malcolm Cundick joins as an Associate from his practice Alpha Plus: Architects, and Samantha Lowdon joins as Business Development Manager.

ADG Architects provides a comprehensive service across a wide range of commercial, Industrial, residential, interior design and 3D Modelling projects, with particular specialisms in Education, Care Home, Agricultural, Historic and Ecclesiastical buildings.

It works for a wide range of clients throughout England including: 3M, Darlington Borough Council, Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Husquvarna, Lyons Tetley, Magnet, North Yorkshire CC, NSK Bearings, Redcar and Cleveland Council, Richmond School, Subsea Innovation, Volvo Trucks and Warburtons, among many others.

The merger with Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd adds extra resources and specialist experience in agricultural, industrial and residential work, while as a specialist in ecclesiastical buildings, the addition of Malcolm Cundick brings more than 40 years’ experience of Church, Community and Historic Buildings to the Practice.

An experienced interior designer, Samantha Lowdon will enhance the Practice’s interior design capabilities, as well as taking a lead role in business development.
